# Plans and limits

> What Pro, Premium and Max count in Author, and that your own AI connects on every plan.

Source: https://plotaloo.com/docs/plans-and-limits/

Author has three plans and no free plan. Payments are in test mode during early access, so nothing is charged yet.

| | Pro | Premium | Max |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price per month | €19 | €39 | €79 |
| Books, novellas, short stories | 25 | 50 | Unlimited |
| The whole writing room | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Your own AI connected (MCP agent door) | Yes | Yes | Yes |

## What "the whole writing room" means

Manuscript, cast, strands, events, the timeline, continuity checks, versions with diffs, world maps, beta-reader links, exports. All of them work on every plan.

## The connection for your own AI

On every plan, Pro, Premium and Max, your own AI can work on your books. Without a plan, the door refuses with `PLAN_REQUIRED`.

## When you reach a limit

Creating one more book than your plan allows is refused and the app shows a sheet with the plans. Nothing is deleted.

## Trials

There is no trial period. A promo key from us can grant a 7, 14 or 30 day trial. Enter it on the Plan page.
