With AI
Let your AI draft. Keep the plot.
Author does not write your book. It gives your AI the memory of the whole story, and you the proof of what changed.
One scene, before and after.
Bring your own AI: Claude, ChatGPT or Grok. Here it drafted a line, you edited it, and a check told you why.
Sample scene, Chapter 8, scene 3
Imogen set down the cup. "Mr Calloway," she said, "you are early." The rain had not let up since noon.
Imogen set down the cup. "You are early," she said, though she could not have said for what. The rain had not let up since noon.

Four calls, in this order.
Ask first
What does Imogen know at the end of chapter 8? The AI reads the state of the character at that scene, each change with its cause.
geenius_author · story.stateSave a version
Before it rewrites your prose, it freezes the book as a named version. You can diff it word by word or bring it back.
geenius_author · versions.saveWrite with a revision
It changes the scene with the revision it read (expect_rev), so it never overwrites a newer edit of yours.
geenius_author · scenes.patchCheck afterwards
It runs the eleven continuity checks and tells you what broke. You decide what stays.

Questions writers ask.
Does my AI see the whole book?
Only through the connector, in the workspace you chose, after the plan check. It reads the parts it asks for: the outline, a scene, the state of a character.
Can it overwrite my work?
No. It writes with the revision it read, so a newer edit of yours makes the write fail instead of being lost. It also saves a named version first.
Which AI works?
Any that can use a remote MCP server: Claude, ChatGPT, Grok or your own agent. It uses its own subscription.
Who owns the text?
You do. It is Markdown, exportable at any time.
